Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 13/05/2026It is a deep, humbling honor to receive this award from the Python Software Foundation. I recognize -- very honestly -- that there are a hundred folks in PyLadies alone who are just as deserving. It's deeply rewarding to be a part of Pythonland and I hope in this next year to earn this accolade. 130
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 08/12/2025Totally gonzo idea by @chrzanowski.info on this...fun video to watch and amazing the whole device didn't just melt. 000

Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 22/09/2025I'm a Python guy, I wonder what they'd say about THAT code. 😉 I'm with JetBrains, is there something missing from Junie that makes you do the first step, beyond "remembers"? 230
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 12/09/2025Just out of curiosity, what level of plan do you have for Codex and do you ever get close to running out? 100
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 11/09/2025Great to hear! Anything you've hit that didn't go well? 100
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 11/09/2025I think we still have a chance, once NES gets out of preview, to do some things that are new and useful. I think I'm on the hook for that video. 😉 How much is next-edit part of your value proposition? 000
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 11/09/2025Thanks for sharing that, and I feel similarly about Sonnet 4. 000
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 11/09/2025I'm with JetBrains, thus I'm biased, but I'm also not an AI Maximalist. So what you wrote resonated with me. I'm finding a good flow for what I want to do with Junie, do myself, or a combination. I'm also learning to keep the guidelines file open, to write down my way of doing things. 010
Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 11/09/2025You're right to feel frustration. All of us in this field are struggling with this, but we hope to be the ones that figure it out, especially for the folks that have been with us. I think Junie's great, but we need to land on the right setup. 110

Paul Everitt @pauleveritt.org · 27/08/2025I admit, tomorrow's launch of the Python documentary feels like a special marker in time. Python is Guido's, but also ours, all of us, and @cultrepo@bird.makeup has captured that. Come watch the premiere and join us in the chat. 012
