This is what I imagine it’s like for clergy to race home from their diocesan convention that ends on Saturday in time for church Sunday morning. ⚓️

Hundreds of students walked past my office today on their way to protest here in Paris. 70 minutes later the police were lining up where they usual stage before moving on to brutalize them. The police appear to be jovial and in good spirits about it. #Blocus #France #StudentProtest
Hundreds of students marching through the street from there high school towards Place De La République.A wider shot showing about half of the students who walked past. The CRS/BRAV staging before they rush over to the boulevard to inflict violence on student protestors. Many of them are laughing and most seem to be in good spirits while waiting to attack children. Some of the vans used by the CRS/BRAV following after those on foot.

I wonder how better our world might be today if we responded with love to acts of hatred. Matthew 5:38-48 Photos taken in April 2002 of the September 11th memorial along the fence of St Paul's Chapel one block from ground zero in New York City.

I’ve final gotten Cacio e Pepe dialed in. Tonight I did sprinkle some bacon on top because it existed in the fridge. So wild that this dish is just pasta, cheese, pepper and water.

New profile pic - same guy who loves eggs, sunsets, and Jesus. Oh, and by 'new' I really mean a photo that was taken in October 2024 when Jordan and I got to hang out in Berlin with Sheila.
Its a photo of me in the fall. There are trees whose leaves have turned golden behind me as I stand with my arms behind my back, a slight smile to my face, wrapped in a bunchy green wool scarf and a black wool jacket.

I’ve loved space since I was a kid. When I heard there was going to be a partial solar eclipse in Paris I had to see it. There was such a communal sense to these minutes. Everyone finding places in the sun, putting on our solar glasses, & experiencing a glimpse of the cosmic scale were seldom sense.

The book, Walk in Love, is a lovely distillation and overview of the Christian faith through the Episcopal tradition. Thanks for your hard work on it @scottagunn.bsky.social and Melody Wilson Shobe! It’s such an accessible and helpful gift to the Church.

That guy was super quick with that modesty cloth! Just so we’re on the same page, this robot clearly learned this watching Pentecostal YouTube videos to be ‘slain in the spirit’ so well. My theology has no space for robots to experience God like this… at least that guy was ready with the cloth!

This was my guess with a bunch of friends as the #WorldCup Final started. It’s looking like a pretty good guess so far.
0-0 with Spain in the shootout.

England and France used up all the remaining goals. Like cell phone minutes in the early 2000s

it is a neon sign of a square slice of pizza with pretty red lips holding a triangle slice of pizza and a glass of champaign. The square pizza is also wearing heals. This sign is hanging in a window of a pizza resturant which is very dark, and you can faintly see the reflection of NYC in the background.

PSG just won the Champions League Cup in shootouts. So now Paris is shutting down. 30 minutes later and all the buses are stopped and a majority of the metro and trams are shut down too.

Will you be in Paris tomorrow for Ascension? At 18h there is a free Gregorian program at Saint-Pierre De Montmartre (18eme). I'm really looking forward to it. The director who has been doing the work preparing shared about it with a group I'm a part of. Let me know if you'll be there too!

I need very little reason to eat Mexican food (some of best cuisine in the world). So a holiday that they don’t really celebrate in Mexico is good enough for me. Breakfast tacos and then enchiladas for dinner.
Three purple corn tortillas with scrambled eggs, sausage, tomatoes, and cheese. Far too full and many enchiladas covered in sauce and cheese.

So I did walk a lot (100km+ on the Camino) and then I didn't.... I should probably go for a walk again today (though not 30k+ steps).

I got to lead our procession through the streets of Paris for Palm Sunday. Kind of surreal to see a photo of it that a friend sent me this morning. I didn’t notice, as I was just trying to walk slow enough to not leave anyone behind. Praying you have a meaningful and blessed Holy Week. 📕 #tec

My contemplative heart is so glad to see Teresa of Ávila as my top match. But also...as someone rased reformed (PC USA) & attended a baptist seminary (Bethel Theological Seminary - St Paul MN). LMAO, LMAFO. 👋 at Jonathan Edwards & John Calvin in my bottom 3. whichtheologianareyou.netlify.app
My top theological affinity was with Teresa of Avila. My bottom three were Johnathan Edwards, Augustine of Hippo, and John Calvin (with 0 points).
