I play them in hopes that they connect. A little musical teen angst is good for the soul, makes you feel less alone. I play them so one day they will go "Dad always like this." I hope they have to find a CD player from some thrift store to play it and the whole thing is some type of journey for them

They were one of the pioneers of the pop-punk genre, and a staple in my Walkman CD player. The kind of CD player that only functioned when connected via that awkward cassette tape that plugged in to the headphone jack. I still have all of their albums in a folio. I play them for my kids.

Tonight, I decided to threw on some New Found Glory. I pulled up "Make the Most of it," a post cancer diagnosis album packed with full throated, earnest acoustic tracks from a man looking death in the eyes at 40. Damn if it didn't break me. New Found Glory is a band I have always held near and dear.

I also think most none A. I. writers can show you their mound of WIP's. That coupled with the endless "great story" or "new things" notes in Evernote tells you whats up. Always be write'n. Even if it's just thinking about story or working on some character profile or something.
