Laura Loomer's racist comments about @angieforfl.bsky.social give me a chance to once again point out that Loomer has had an active account on Cameo forever, and Cameo is one of the ways that racist bigots like Loomer generate revenue. Cameo knows this and happily shares in the profits.

Dolly Parton's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A large, makeshift memorial covers Dolly Parton's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The brass and terrazzo star on the charcoal-colored sidewalk is almost entirely obscured by dozens of brightly colored flower bouquets, including red, pink, and yellow roses, white lilies, and assorted daisies.

Nestled among the flowers are several glass prayer candles, greeting cards, and printed photos of Dolly Parton. One sign features a photo of Dolly holding a guitar with the printed text, "FAREWELL TO A BELOVED AMERICAN ICON." Next to it is another portrait with a handwritten note that reads, "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU DOLLY." A small Curious George book or card is also visible near the front.

Behind the dense pile of ground flowers stands a large floral wreath on a metal easel, made of light pink, dark pink, and peach roses, draped with a black sash that reads "DOLLY PARTO" (with the final letter obscured). To the left sits another circular wreath composed primarily of white flowers with bright pink and yellow blooms.

The scene takes place outdoors on a sunny day. In the background, a white Ford transit van is parked along the curb, and various storefronts, including a Starbucks, a souvenir shop, and an outlet, are visible across the street. On the far left edge of the frame, a person's hand is partially visible, pointing toward the memorial.

The center-left section reads "DOLLY FOREVER".

The center-right section reads "IF YOU WANT THE RAINBOW YOU GOTTA PUT UP WITH THE RAIN".

The far-right section lists upcoming September dates, including "9 17+18" and "9 24".

Below the marquee, the theater's entrance is closed off by black metal security gates. To the right of the entrance, a display case holds a teal poster that reads "FONDA THEATRE Celebrating 100 Years". In the foreground, Hollywood Walk of Fame stars are visible on the sidewalk next to a parking meter and an ornate black streetlamp displaying various parking restriction signs.

We all know how pervasive bad information is on the internet. But even as someone with a strong filter, due to my career, it is still astonishing to me when I am forcefully served bad information based on what I have been searching. Here's a recent example.
A screenshot of a Facebook post in dark mode with the user's name and profile picture redacted. The text of the post reads: "Your high cholesterol does NOT need medicated! You need to be out in the sun so when the UV rays hits your skin, that cholesterol will change into vitamin d3. Then the blood carries it to the liver and kidneys and changes it into the active hormone form of vitamin D. Majority of all big pharma doctors don’t know this. They only know to put you on medication if your cholesterol is high.... See more". At the bottom, the post shows 4.1K likes, 560 comments, and 1K shares.

You might be familiar with the Jon Hamm dancing meme. But what you probably don't know is that my toddler PJ heard it, and it is now one of his favorite songs. Here's the PJ mix.

"[Don Lemon] went into the facility, and then he began 'committing journalism,' as if that's sort of a shield from being an embedded part of a criminal conspiracy. ... Nobody should think in the US that they’re going to be able to get away with [committing journalism]." -Harmeet Dhillon, DOJ
STATEMENT FROM ABBE LOWELL, ATTORNEY FOR DON LEMON

Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards. Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done. The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable. There is no more important time for people like Don to be doing this work.

Instead of investigating the federal agents who killed two peaceful Minnesota protesters, the Trump Justice Department is devoting its time, attention and resources to this arrest, and that is the real indictment of wrongdoing in this case. This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and transparent attempt to distract attention from the many crises facing this administration will not stand. Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court.
