My own and in house. I still have 4 or 5 ideas kicking around my head I want to see real before I retire and that's creeping up on me. But I enjoy doing the others too.

I want to grow the firm sustainably but I'm also aware of these lessons and our own cash flow. To me I let the tempo of never having more than one outstanding crowd funding ( once it's at the factory I'm comfortable moving again ) and more than one release per show guide me.

It's cold here so we spend a lot of time indoors. There are a lot of college educated people here so it's easy to find skilled people. I don't think the location matters too much though. There are a lot here though.

Railways of the Lost Atlas by @asterisk-games.bsky.social opened my head up directly and poked some neurons in my brain into action. Everytime I see it I feel like there is more structure to the universe than I thought. I hope they keep it up.

I probably have some sensory issues so Ive always leaned towards finishes on cards like linen to comfort me when I'm playing. I like the texture of wood and plastic blocks too.

I want games to feel like they did in the 90s and early 2000s. Some meeples, some punch, and a pack to crack open. I generally like wood over plastic as it helps the player transition from the digital world we live in to the natural world. Not a hard rule but that is what steers me.

We're big fans of local Saint Paul band Alligator Orchestra. After hearing songs they wrote about Root, we commissioned them to record a Kart theme song. They came back with "Don't Look Down!", two minutes of raucous pop-punk that's perfect for Kart's reckless downhill races.
