Should this be my Halloween costume? Having a more "lean" figure (that is, with little shape), the sizing isn't great — fitting my shoulders makes it too big in the waist and I haven't any hips. But it is really cute! #StarTrek

My surgery to replace the disc at my C6/C7 cervical spine went splendidly this morning and I am already home!

Call me crazy, but is anyone sexier than 1970s Charlie Brill? (He and his wife Mitzi were a well-known comedy duo, but Charlie is also known for Silk Stalkings, and to many Star Trek fans as Arne Darvin.)

See the alt text for an explanation, but here is a picture of exactly what's been causing my pain. This is apparently "severe" stenosis. The surgery on September 4 will replace the disc completely, so it will 100% relieve the pressing against the nerve and, therefore, the pain.

A yellow arrow points to where the disc presses the nerve almost completely against the bone. This causes cervical radiculopathy (a pinched nerve). The nerve is so choked, it's causing pain in my neck and shoulder; plus tingling in my arm and numbness in my thumb, pointer, and middle fingers.
