And they tried to pivot from the blockchain focus but the UI and experience were never good, always felt very half-baked. I'd have to look more closely but I do think every file uploaded is freely available on the arweave chain.

Unfortunate to lose a platform like Nina but I can't say I'm surprised. Nina never seemed to focus on creating a useful platform for listeners/buyers, just for musicians to add their work. If you want to support musicians you have to create something listeners want to use. NFTs were not it.

Marc is one of the best writers and critics of experimental music. Deep knowledge and a real listener. A no brainer to support this. Looking forward to all the new sounds he’s going to share.

Praying for Rudy Giuliani. Complicated man, but he taught me that marriage and family don't mean anything. You can just do whatever you want. Humiliate and lie to everyone you're supposed to love whenever you want, or are bored. Honestly fuck them. Also he taught me everything else is like that too.

One time my friend and I were having a cigarette (i quit a long time ago) and he said to me: "I wouldn't really mind being turned into a vampire because at least I could keep smoking with no worries". That's my contribution to today's smoking discourse.

Happy 25th Anniversary of The Day That Phil Elverum Of The Microphones And Mount Eerie Saw Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon At A Dollar Theater In Aberdeen.

I would drive out to the ocean and not tell anybody

I watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in a dollar theatre in Aberdeen

It was a rainy matinée, 2001, Sunday, March 18th
And in the parking lot afterward

For a few minutes in the rain

I stood glowing with ideas

Of what I might try to convey with this music
