Are we talking turkey… hematology? - Unlike humans, turkey RBCs are nucleated - Heterophils (bird neutrophils for birds) tend to increase as a stress response – otherwise lymphocytes rule the differential roost - The PT for turkeys is prolonged relative to human (around 17 sec) (1/3)
