At the height of Operation Metro Surge, highly sensitive data from license plate cameras was available to far-flung departments that searched it and used it for immigration enforcement. Not sure about the source, from social media, mainstream hasn’t confirmed yet but this would be my second happened upon shooting after leaving work this year, though I was in the last one. This I drove by, there was a large police presence and reporters and a taped off area to the right of me.
