In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Silicon Valley, they had billions in venture capital and what did that produce? The Elon Musk AI sizzle reel.

This whole bizarre debate about skin colour in the Odyssey becomes even stranger once you realize that Homer describes honey as "green" (chlōros), sheep as "violet " (ióeis) while "blue" isn't mentioned even ONCE in thousands of verses.

Apple Vision Pro. Released exactly 2 years ago. The kind of product that feels inevitable on paper, then turns out to be quite silly, impractical and useless. Still somewhat cute.

These moralizing Disney posts are weird. As if Disney had ever acted out of moral principles. Disney has always been tech-obsessed and profit-driven, from multiplane cameras to robots. Testing technology is in Disney’s DNA. It is the reason for the success. Acting surprised now is just naive.

He’s 100% right. Also: the robot doesn’t look fashionable - the silhouette just isn’t there. For good-looking humanoids, see ’80s/’90s Hollywood. At least they tried.
