Holding an "is a" mental model is a shortcut with downsides but "has a" or "can do" mental models is more resilient mental tooling in the face of external pressures. 100

It reminds me of the traditional Japanese ink makers and artisanal soy sauce brewers. Some thrived despite industrial pressures. There's a future for that stance with coding. 100
