If you have a gas furnace and a central air conditioner, replace both with a heat pump. This also works if you have a central air conditioner and electric resistance heat. The switch will save money and reduce emissions substantially. Make sure you use an installer with experience, though.

What we call "stomach flu" is actually any of a collection of illnesses caused by different micro-organisms and viruses, that all share some common symptoms. Its like "a cold" which encompasses a lot of different rhinoviruses and some others as well.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
