I see that lots of people are speculating that discord added 18+ so they could start running fanduel ads. I don't think this is the case, because they were ALREADY running the ads weeks ago. It's more likely that they started rushing 18+ verif after the fact, hence why it's all so janky atm.

That's one thing i really love about the minidisc community, they saved so many manuals and made them accessible for everyone, made replacement batteries or screens for older devices, and they even share and help with repairs. It's just so cool to see, but it's a shame not all devices get that love.

With discord set to make really stupid decisions i've withdrawn my nitro sub. I'm switching to Stoat. Even if discord backpedals on age verification, they're still pushing to make the company public, they're still infested with account theft bots, and they handle support / reporting terribly.

I have very bad phone anxiety, but I just called all my reps! As OP said: If you have phone anxiety and don't know what to say: all you NEED to pass along is "do not support [these bills]" They're checking the raw number of citizens getting mad at them. Numbers matter more than time or persuasion.
