I see that lots of people are speculating that discord added 18+ so they could start running fanduel ads. I don't think this is the case, because they were ALREADY running the ads weeks ago. It's more likely that they started rushing 18+ verif after the fact, hence why it's all so janky atm.

Random electric guitar ramble. I've been looking into upgrading some pickups in a free guitar (epipone SG special), and i've discovered something. 90% of all the demos for different pickup sound like total crap and It's really really funny.

To anyone heading into Forza Horizon 6 soon: DON'T SLEEP ON THE OPUS RADIOSTATION. The old classical stations were more than a little meme-y, but they really put some thought into the new one and it hits HARD.

What are four albums that would serve as an introduction to your tastes? These are all albums that became core to my tastes that expanded how I thought of music. (It was hard narrowing down to four, if i could add another slot i'd probably add Neo Wax Bloom by iglooghost)

With discord set to make really stupid decisions i've withdrawn my nitro sub. I'm switching to Stoat. Even if discord backpedals on age verification, they're still pushing to make the company public, they're still infested with account theft bots, and they handle support / reporting terribly.

Congress is attempting to fast track KOSA and more than a dozen bills that would restrict internet access, censor speech and increase surveillance under the guise of protecting children. Committee hearings begin tomorrow.

I have very bad phone anxiety, but I just called all my reps! As OP said: If you have phone anxiety and don't know what to say: all you NEED to pass along is "do not support [these bills]" They're checking the raw number of citizens getting mad at them. Numbers matter more than time or persuasion.

Starbucks acts like a bank with no oversight through its Starbucks rewards program & mobile app. the company holds over $1.5B in customer loaded funds at any given time which is more than some actual banks. when you preload their little app, you’re also giving them an interest free loan.

Cis friends, it's time to be an unapologetic ally. There is a crisis looming overhead that you can help prevent. Be vocal, be LOUD, and offer your support for trans people. Spread the queer love ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 we'll get thru this.

Once upon a time, the ever-evolving graffiti on this reservoir near the psych unit was a cave-painting-record. I photographed much of it over months. One day they painted it grey. The next day:

A slightly rounded wall painted pale grey, overgrown green grass at the base. Capital lettering on the wall, in two long lines, reads:
'With grey paint we silence some voices in a society. Advertising is fine - it is, after all, the graffiti of the rich"
