Poverty solution 3182: Ban rent. Ban rent, any amount you pay gives you that much in ownership. Open the commons. Give land grants. Spread out not up. Rent never gives ownership. You can’t save if your money goes to rent. Rent gives you nothing to show for it. Modern feudalism (lords of land)

Cities counties, states and gov do two things immediately: - add rent controls (do this now) - add a sales tax of one or two cents Use rent controls to stop the parasitic rent prices Use the sales tax to give everyone a monthly dividend Call the tax a democracy dividend #UBI

A UBI would help not only expats but the communities expats are living in It would show the US cares about other countries welfare by having it’s money being spent there You shouldn’t be taxing expats to begin with since they are taxed in that country We don’t live on the gold standard anymore

I don’t know that I like a LVT tax but I might be misunderstanding it but I’m for taxing rent on the landlords side with rent controls In other countries it’s normal that there are no taxes on your home and land it sits on ever. Maybe taxes on Lockean and excess land Y2 progressive wealth taxes

And we can start it now and work up to a full UBI Take the taxes we already have in place and give a quarter or a half back to the people Create a new proposition for a UBI dividend, a profit sharing dividend of about one or two cents on purchases and income and return that to people

If you're working in the AI space, you need to be pushing for universal basic income RIGHT NOW. It's not good enough to just say UBI may be needed in the future. And put your money where your mouth is, or else people will assume you're lying about the capabilities of AI and/or will push against AI.

Unintentional personal poverty - all resources are available to exit poverty following social activities but the group or groups can’t take part in those activities because of things like disabilities (society agrees the group or individual cannot fulfill those poverty alleviating duties)

Intentional social poverty - intentional actions in a society that maintains poverty conditions (society agrees that certain conditions or processes create or keep a group in poverty - social murder social neglect)
