Other benefits of automatic alt text: 1. You can search your own images by keyword 2. If others have muted words that are included in your alt text, they also will be shielded from an image they didn’t want to see 3. It makes you awesome

For my art class, one of my assignments was to make the first four pages of a comic. Here's what I got: (Sorry if the quality is bad, these were done on paper and having to edit the pictures is hell lmao) #artist #art #originalcomic #horrorcomic #horrorartist #horror

1st comic page, man playing videogames in his room. He gets a knock at his door and it is his mother asking if he would sit and eat dinner with her and his father tonight. He is dismissive and slightly rude. His room is a mess and there are bugs. He is playing minecraft

2nd page of comic. Father, mother and son at dinner table eating Dumplings in silence and it is tense. Son asks why he has to sit with them and the other and father break the news to him that he will have to stay at the house by himself and get a job. Son is angry

3rd page of comic. The father and son argue about the job and the son storms out and the last panel features the son sulking on his bare mattress and there is trash on the floor around him

4th page of comic. Son wakes up the next morning and sits up and goes into his bathroom. He is tired and mopey. He reaches for his toothbrush only to find a large centipede crawling on it. He freaks out and drops it.

I really dislike the term Content for creative works. It feels so devaluing for all the love and care that goes into an artwork, animation, song, essay... Your work isn't "just stuff to fill the internet" á la Content. There's so much beauty in acknowledging your hard work with their proper names ❤️

Dunno if this a hot take, but I think if you're making a game with screen shake or flashing lights in any way, there should be an option to reduce them. Especially to 0.

I wish that instead of being embarrassed of games with older graphics and seeing them as something to be updated, that game companies would see these older graphics as art worthy of being preserved and celebrated and studied.

Being on Blue Sky feels like entering a new house. It's still pretty bare and needs a lot of work, but the process of settling in is still rather exciting. Plus, I get to slowly meet other artists on the move too!
