anyway, it's well received/has a good box office in france but i can imagine that it will not reach further beyond our small western european sphere, so i encourage everyone to check it out if they're interested in that stuff, esp my french moots. it's definitely one of the greatest of the year.

also fun fact but without even realizing it the screening i went to was one with a Q&A session right after it, with the director himself! so that was absolutely fascinating—esp since he's not hiding the fact that the movie is about ww2, sure, but it is mostly about europe in 2026
