At the 100 lowest-paying major corporations — including Walmart, DoorDash, and Amazon — CEO pay averaged $17.5M in 2025. Median worker pay was just $36,571, a ratio of 614 to 1. Those same 100 companies spent $108.6B on stock buybacks last year. How can anyone defend this?

Just 10 billionaires have already poured nearly $670 MILLION into this year's midterms. In the entire 2008 presidential cycle, the last election before Citizens United, total billionaire spending was $16 million. If you're wondering what the real threat to "election integrity" is, it's Big Money.

Here's the thing with the Pete reposts. He is trying to have it both ways. There is a Calvin and Hobbes strip I used to teach Kant. Calvin is ranting about how ethics are dead and its a dog eat dog world. Hobbs pushes him into a puddle. Calvin gets mad. Hobbs repeats back his no ethics line.
