Apologies for pasting from The Other Place (I saw it via someone else, as I don't have a Xitter account) but I am also seeing the exact situation Ben sketches out here.
This is a slippery slope, and I'm seeing quite a few product teams jumping on it: Deletegate not just coding, but also design, architecture, review, debugging, and ultimately thinking to AI models and coding agents like Claude Code and Codex; Don't pause to review anything because you'll slow down and fall behind. Just feed the AI's response and output back into the same agent (or another agent); Ultimately this will lead to both AI rot and brain rot in the organisation. No one will know what is going on under the hood, and the AI will be confused by its own convoluted mess and will grind to a halt. If your role has just been to press enter and accept anything that the AI says, you're doomed to be replaced by a single automated process that does the button mashing in your place.

When even pro AI groups start recognising how ridiculous it's becoming... The problem, is not AI or LLMs, those are research projects. The problem is all these CEOs, hype, companies pretending it does more than it can or that will kill us all. All LLMs do is cheapening everything, quality included
Saturday Night Live moking the insanity the AI industry has become with lies about killing us all, claims it can do more than it actually can etc. LLMs, so far, are just a flexible automation with quite low quality output. A sort of bad IKEA, which does have it's place, but that ain't anywhere near to be able to solve serious world problems or replacing experienced engineers, doctors, lawyers and more.
