Catodon has Mastodon 5.0's visibility change (removing "Quiet public" and replacing it with a discoverability switch) before Mastodon! 😁 We are trying to combine the best features and ideas from other Fediverse platforms, and naturally Mastodon is the one […] [Original post on catodon.rocks]

This is Catodon's new look - just merged in develop and deployed on catodon.rocks. A floating navigation bar, less lines, a little more minimalistic (or a little less maximalistic!). Not very dramatic changes, but I feel like I needed something new. It's a UI […] [Original post on catodon.rocks]

In the USA, the healthcare system is so poor that they would rather allow an elderly man with dementia to serve as president than provide him with the proper nursing care he needs.

Donald Trump post saying: "China is very happy that I am permanently opening the Strait of Hormuz. I am doing it for them, also - And the World. This situation will never happen again. They have agreed not to send weapons to Iran. President Xi will give me a big, fat, hug when I get there in a few weeks. We are working together smartly, and very well! Doesn’t that beat fighting??? BUT REMEMBER, we are very good at fighting, if we have to - far better than anyone else!!! President DJT"

And since 26.4.0 is out, let me show you a couple of things that I was working on for 26.4.1 in the last few days: When you play a video (either uploaded or from youtube) using the in-post video player and you scroll away, it no longer keeps playing out of […] [Original post on catodon.rocks]

One of the biggest complaints I read from new Fediverse users, is "Wait, you don't have DMs here?". But the "specified users" visibility is exactly that - they're just not handled as DMs, but as plain posts. But it doesn't have to be like this. I just deployed […] [Original post on catodon.rocks]

Another big difference between Catodon and Sharkey is how much the navigation bar has been decluttered. From 25 options, down to 10! And it's not only because of the removed features: Many options of the navigation bar moved to other, more appropriate places […] [Original post on catodon.rocks]
