Haha that’s a fair way to feel towards expansion teams. I love how the Valks fanbase got so cool so fast though. It’ll be defense against defense which will be really interesting!

I’d be happy with either team winning for different reasons but I really think it would be sweet if Nakase got this done. How bout you?

I can feel proud the Wings put up more of a fight than the Aces but oof now it hurts even more how close we were

Texas just got rid of required annual inspections last year. Curious how that’ll go. I would definitely appreciate the nudge as someone who doesn’t think about our car particularly often

020

Ah. We’re very fortunate we don’t have that happening here!

000

When he did it we were very surprised. Until then, and 90% of the time now, he looks curious and makes ecking sounds at them without trying to swipe. I’m glad Ishi isn’t a menace!

I'm getting bottom surgery on December 9, two months from today!!! I've started a GoFundMe to help with recovery costs (including travel costs for my girlfriend, who'll be my primary caregiver during that time, and general living costs). Please help if you can! www.gofundme.com/f/support-lu...

Also if people count on maybe more conservative old people reliably showing up to vote, the Democrat turnout for the primary absolutely stomped on the Republican turnout. And it’s not like the big Republican primaries were uncontested

000

Someone said on here earlier this week that Peggy signs are $25. If they have a different Dem sign I feel pretty confident thinking they’re a Peggy voter. And of course the old saying, yard signs don’t vote (but it certainly doesn’t feel good)

040

I think the best way to reach Old People is showing up in person in their communities and it seems like she’s doing that? The face to face stuff people don’t see on the screen is the most important. And I agree, I’d rather door knockers use their steps on someone besides me

I did see more campaign materials during the primary from Peggy than now, but it’s not like I’m seeing anything from Tafoya. I don’t really watch TV with ads, I can see why Peggy doesn’t think TV ads are effective for her voter groups (no offense to people who watch TV the old fashioned way)

Still just a little guy though

Photo of a large grey tabby cat perched on a foot rest and peering out the sunny window

070

In case anyone is keeping track, same cat who bodied our window screen to get a bird and sent it crashing three stories down. We can’t open our windows from the bottom more than paw height anymore

150

The house sparrows are wary of him and scatter if they see him by the window, but recently there’s been this more slender and long type of bird that likes to hover in front of the window and egg him on

040

My tripod cat just tried to grab a bird through the closed window with his missing arm, I gotta admire the dedication

The league doing all the team branding continues to be an L

Surely navy breezers exist (even though I don’t like the navy it’s better than the electric)

100

The blue breezers are really bad

160

It totally does, I guess I just hoped it wouldn’t apply to the population subset that is my coworkers 😅

120

So many people I know who don’t own a car are able to live that way because of HourCar. This is a huge loss

If you think you can text and walk just fine, no you can’t 💜

030

Oh the backing up thing is so real. I will never understand why, in so many scenarios, people feel comfortable going backward with no awareness of what’s behind them!

This is the wholesome crossover event that Minneapolis needed

030

Costco with the giant carts is just a nightmare of navigation, I don’t know if there’s any remedy for that one haha

I don’t even just mean etiquette, I mean safety. Like there are ways to navigate hallways that are safe and unsafe. And I agree on training, I mention it being part of job training in my thread ;)

At first employer we also had round overhead mirrors on corners, which I think every building should have

280

I’m super uptight about this because my first employer literally had safety trainings on how to walk because we had a lot of material transport in the hallways including equipment and forklifts. But I think some of the best practices can apply to a conventional office space

260

Surprisingly the biggest issue I’ve encountered with our org’s return to office is walking etiquette. People do not know how to walk in a shared space!

Love the Vegas sleeves. The San Jose design is very California retro and makes me feel nostalgic

Do you think PWHL Detroit put enough stripes on their kit

330

Ugh! I don’t see their socials much, I just happened to see the can labels while out and about. Super annoying

Ooo I didn’t know that, yikes

Urban Growler :/ in particular look at the label for “Beaver Fever”

You’re gonna be real sad if I tell you who (it’s not Surly)

I can’t hate the Anaheim Ducks because their organist is a cool trans woman who is into anime and video games and otherwise has good taste in music

Had to go to urgent cat with the cat tonight. She's okay but $$$. Turns out it's not *that* expensive to ship my buttons across the country. So, please buy my buttons for the low cost of "Pay what you want!" @ me and I'll DM you to get info. Please and thank you!

Climate change = unpredictable flashy temps. Later in the month there is of course *less* of a chance of hot weather, but we had a fast start to fall with a cool September and now get two random 80 degree days thrown in

031

The marathon being early actually helped this year it turns out

Picking up the season right where they left off (derogatory)

In my opinion the squeeze from them putting your jewelry in and securing the back hurts more than the actual poke, so I guess potentially be prepared for that. They usually narrate exactly what they’re doing, count down before the poke, etc

220

They give you thorough printed care instructions, follow them and keep your piercing clean with saline and it should be alright. To avoid pain, try not to touch your ear at all for the first day and be very conscious with anything that could snag (like putting on/taking off a shirt)
