GFM update ❤️‍🩹 My tooth almost took my life,I got it pulled + am getting my implant consult soon. Since then I have been sick with a chronic respiratory issue, & it's cost me tabling RCCC. I hate to do it, but I am asking for a bit more help. Share if you can 🫶 www.gofundme.com/f/help-lonni...

Cartoon of me sitting on my own hand, with a censored photo of my rancid tooth cackling.
"That guy almost killed me! " I say, and the tooth says "I almost killed you! Nyehehe!"

Comic of me trembling , saying "oh, well I'm glad I got that tooth pulled, now to r-" and I am hit with multiple bouts of sickness.
"In time for Rose City Comic Con". I am hit with a sickness anvil.

I am pancaked on the ground, and I peel my face up, saying "I think I need to rest."

It’s just so sickening that platforms like itch.io and the folks arguing that censorship of real human topics like SA or queerness will somehow make the topics disappear from society. It’s object-impermanent baby logic covering up full on cowardice.

Paloma @palomita.bsky.social · 26/07/2025

We have to detach the idea that media dealing with SA and its effects should be classified as “inappropriate” and censored. It is one of the sharpest parts of the human experience and one of the places where most need fiction to help us understand it.

Another manga i’ve been having a nice time with! “Neighborhood Craftsmen: Stories from Kanda’s Gokura-chou” is a series of one-shots that all focus on different craftspeople from the Edo period…. Really good for people with my kind of youtube algorithm….

Cuckoo is a book I point writers towards to learn from all the time, mostly for two reasons: - it draws parallels b/t a horror of society vs supernatural horror, without them needing to be metaphors of each other, a tar pit a lot of ppl get stuck in - incredibly efficient and disgusting descriptions

Rebekah del Rio was such an important person to me. A few years ago I met her at a screening of mulholland drive, and we hit it off. She invited us to her hotel the next day for drinks. We spent 7 hours talking and learning about her life. She was such a good soul, a person who deserved happiness.
