An exquisitely preserved young iguanodontian from the Upper Jurassic of Tanzania sheds light on skeletal fusion patterns within Archosauria
Dysalotosaurus lettowvorbecki (Ornithopoda, Dinosauria) is a small-sized dryosaurid iguanodontian known from various isolated remains collected from the Tendaguru Formation (Upper Jurassic, Tanzania)...

New paper out today in @thepalass.bsky.social : onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/... Co-led with @palaeofil.bsky.social , w/ Federico Fanti & Miguel Moreno-Azanza. Using the largest data matrix yet, we name a new sail-backed clade (Ouranosauria) & reassess Iguanodon taxonomy. 🎨Davide Bonadonna

Ecstatic to share my latest published research, the last chapter of my PhD dissertation. 🦕 Iguanodontian dinosaurs may have originated earlier than we thought. 🦖We identified a new clade of 'sail backed' iguanodontians, we formally name it Ouranosauria.

Duck-billed dinosaurs are often found with gruesome, shattered, deformed tails. Did the injuries happen during mating? Maybe! A provocative new study from @fbertpaleo.bsky.social & team. My thoughts for @cnn.com edition.cnn.com/2025/11/04/s...

Our controversial paper is finally out in @cp-iscience.bsky.social ! As part of my PhD dissertation at @qubelfastofficial.bsky.social in 2021, the last chapter was dedicated to a specific pathological pattern in hadrosaurid tails!

Evidence of large-sized ankylopollexian dinosaurs (Ornithischia: Iguanodontia) in the Upper Jurassic of Portugal
The Upper Jurassic beds of the Lusitanian Basin in central Portugal yield diverse dinosaurian fauna, dated to the Kimmeridgian–Tithonian interval. Saurischian dinosaurs are, overall, more abundant ...
