Mark I was there: no one I knew or went to school in 50/60s’ went or ever dreamed of going to university. Half of my £5 wage went to my mum. If I was lucky I went out once a week. I had to save £1000 for a flat deposit we didn’t go out & saved 2yrs mortgages was never low and spiralled in the 80s’

But is that what Andy Burnham is intending to do? He doesn’t seem to be listening to facts. Nor is he interested in children or younger adults who may also be in need of social care. It’s just an excuse to lower pensions for retired people who already have low pensions.
