I dreamed last night I had left my corporate IT job to go work a less brain intensive part time job at Costco. In the dream I had achieved enough financial independence & only needed the healthcare benefits, not the pay. It felt like a good dream, but reflecting on it, it's pretty fucked-up...😅

The U.S. really baffles logic with how it economically works. Wall Street wants to see less jobs, because more jobs = higher inflation / higher borrowing cost aka rate hikes. Jobs numbers came in x2 above expectations today (which is probably BS & will get revised down).

The new Pixel phone looks sad. Less RAM, took away the IR temp sensor for some stupid lighting. Pretty much a downgrade all around. Might have better battery life with the new chipset but noticed they also downgraded the fast charging wattage.

The big box grocery stores price gouging is insane.... I'm glad I've found some alternatives. Not to mention the dynamic pricing digital price tag nonsense Safeway/Albertsons has rolled out 🖕 10oz bag of pistachios. Safeway, $16.99. Grocery outlet, $5.69. exact same brand/bag 🙃

I shouldn't be surprised. The local Auto mechanic shop tried to sell me on replacing my PCV valve for ~$450 when I had my 60k maintenance done.... It's literally a $40 part & a 5 minute job 🙃 took less time than changing my oil. Yeah I don't think I'll be going back to that place.

Lot of stress right now between work, doggo having surgery, & my mom refusing to let me help her treat her alzheimer's. So decided to book a vacation back to Mexico in early December. 😅 Honestly though all inclusive with first class air travel the cost is under ~3k. Not bad at all.
