I have a new plan for anniversary gifts. The traditional year 1 = paper, year 2 = cotton. Rubbish. Tin? Who needs tin? Surely you don't need tin until your 50th year together. Therefore, I propose we make a cultural switch to anniversary gifts coinciding with the periodic table of elements.

So what do you get in this? I'll speak a little bit to the Incursion I wrote, a 3-Set Gold adventure called "The Soirée at Machadio Manor". (In-progress art by Brian Sago, shared with permission) 1/x

Art of an almost impressionistic take on a high society party. Blurry figures stand about in fine clothing evoking a Renaissance party. Some of the people wear outfits with wing ornaments. A chandelier is prominent in the upper area. The bars on grand windows suggest a bird cage.

I had the precious opportunity to work on interior illustrations for‪ @rrookstudio.bsky.social‬ 's "Dark Designs in Verdigris". Brought back many childhood memories reading the original Oz books in the library. Here's one of my images. Birmingham ink and Blackwing pencil on Rives BFK paper.

I met most of the #hauntalong crew in connection with an annual writers retreat hosted by @gauntletrpg.bsky.social. The first of these retreats was made up of writers for Trophy: We all wrote f’ed up horror stuff, and we were largely new to doing this in a spotlight.

My first contributions to Trophy: Nautical character creation options, the initial saints of Kalduhr, and a "what if Alien was on a wooden ship?" incursion.
