It's easy to shrug off because these people are deeply unserious, but the abuse of "extremism" research as specific political opposition research is a really dangerous precedent. And if someone can afford to pay this rate to do this just to target the DSA, they could do it to anyone.

If you’re grabbed by someone wearing “shock gloves”…your body may convulse involuntarily. It could look like you’re resisting arrest when in reality, you’re in medical distress. The appearance of resistance will embolden ICE to use lethal force. These gloves will kill people.

To put this concretely, trans people are not oppressed because of some trans people (eg, sports) making us "look bad," as liberals claim. Optics are distractions used by elite classes to cover up their motivation for fascist drives against minorities, which is to destroy working class solidarity.

Every single senator has killed more people than any random guy from your city doing 25 to life, they just get to do it in a way we have all agreed makes it not real for some reason. We're governed by serial killers!!

Here’s an honest question: Who do you think has been the cause of more deaths, Joe Manchin, or Ted Bundy?

It's pretty easy to tell when a newspaper and their staff are actively & purposely trying to get someone killed or to kill themselves. They do exactly this, and often enough, it works.

As more police spend more time operating surveillance drones, they spend less time breaking into people's cars (& committing other non-domestic crimes). Crime rates always drop when police aren't out criming the community. It is known.

When decent people see the results of, for example, the lynching of Jason Arday, they feel shame, or horror, and imagine the people who participated in the story must be feeling the same. But extending the grace and beauty of your empathy and kindness to a lynch mob is at best extremely misguided
