idk if there’s a story in wrestling that’s had more traction amongst people outside of wrestling than Jesse Ventura trying to start a union, to the point that I wish there was something more substantial than the anecdote and Ventura’s royalty lawsuit (often left out) to talk about.

it’s super cool and fun that the university of chicago police department—one of the nation’s largest private police forces—has a network of alprs in a pocket of the south side that it runs without any outside oversight or transparency

mmm from hell is probably the best work of fiction by a practicing wizard. freedom is a two edged sword has some surprisingly moving parts if you ignore the political aspects. i personally think the simon necronomicon is a hoot and surprisingly influential on sub cultural music (blink 182, etc).

i love quimby's, but i have to say that their recent policy changes are deeply disappointing. they retroactively changed the split for consignments from 60/40 to 50/50 without giving notice beforehand. and they're now charging $2.50 for every payout over $50(!?!)

The Resident Evil movies are a series of films about a man who loves his wife so much he tricks Hollywood into giving him money to make multiple films about how much of a badass his wife is and I read that Cregger’s wife just has a voice-only role in the new one so it can’t be any good.

One of the more insidious ways capitalism breaks you down is by making it impossible to maintain your ethics and values. If you're an artist and you want any chance of supporting yourself in capitalism then you have to compromise yourself to some degree which erodes your spirit.
