i moved here a few years ago and love it very much, but long term i do think i'm likely to end up in Portland. it gets most of the upsides (nature climate etc.) with much more manageable cost of living (especially for housing)

upsides everyone i've met here has been wonderful the natural beauty beats anywhere else i've lived. the Mountain, mountains, forests, lakes, and the sound are breathtaking people are pretty laid back. much less bustle than east coast (but sometimes can display an annoying lack of urgency)

downsides cost of living is very tough the dark winters can be rough (i don't mind it personally) air conditioning isn't universal (but becoming more common) and summers are getting hotter the job market is pretty dire right now (true everywhere i suppose) city planning is rather dysfunctional

The magic reaches his head, making it so he can’t talk – not much that he’d say, as his mind starts turning to plastic too~

He immediately shrinks down into standee-size, the pressure plate now acting as his stand. A pair of floating hands (B) find him.

The hands start painting him his original colors with a small brush. Though, to say they’re doing a good job would be not true.
B: Yes, you’ll look so pretty with the other ones waiting to be played with on table~ And when your time has come to star in our tabletop campaign, that cute captured mind of yours will return briefly, Just to be a cute little pawn in our cute little game.
