Adam’s on a road trip to mend trade fences with Canada (good f**king luck!) and his first port of call is Alberta, apparently because it’s the only province not boycotting Californian wines (sorry Saskatchewan), and even though it might be on the shelves, a lot of people appear to not be buying it.
Calgary Herald headline: Sales of U.S wine in Alberta taking a big hit amid trade war.CBC News headline: Sask still has American alcohol for sale, but fewer people are buying it.

There has been an increase in serious and fatal collisions involving vulnerable road users this year. A pedestrian was killed by a driver this morning. How many cyclists and pedestrians need to die before you are willing to take action to protect vulnerable road users? Mark, what’s your number?

The only person not being honest and transparent here is Mark. His plan relies heavily on a *hope* that other levels of government are going to step in to help pay our bills. But what if they don’t. What’s your number going to be then, Mark? www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Solving chronic homelessness is a city-wide responsibility. We need to see other communities sharing the burden, so people can access services where they live and not all have to come downtown. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Absolutely, spreading these services more widely throughout the city would help take some of the pressure off Somerset and Rideau-Vanier. I unfortunately don’t hold out much hope of that happening anytime soon (if ever). www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Short of dismantling it and putting it back together to make it more pedestrian friendly (I know, not going to happen), it is what it is. The fencing is temporary.

If he’s including the upload of LRT and Highway 174 in this figure (which I believe he is if I’ve interpreted the statements on his website correctly?), $4 billion of this funding is purely theoretical at the moment because the details of the memorandum of understanding haven’t yet been finalized.

Is $4 billion of this the LRT and Highway 174 upload ‘deal’ that is actually only a memorandum of understanding with no finalized timeline to complete the transfer?
