Couldn't decide how to start this year's artfight, super simple or super complex. Decided to do both for sharkfinn's eridian OC known as Prism. You should go follow them here: www.tumblr.com/sharkfiinn/ #artfight #artfight2026 #phm

Two side-by-side depictions of an alien creature known as an eridian. This one in particular is named 'Prism' due to their bismuth-like appearance.

On the left is a simplified version, much like a stick-figure version, featuring their five legs and their main body. On the right is a over-realistic version, containing almost too many crystals of bismuth lining their surface.

Annotated below the left and right is "RTX off" and "RTX on" respectively. The joke is that RTX, a computer hardware tool specialising in graphics, is over-complicating the look, to the point where the 'simplified' version looks more pleasing.

Okay I can't hide it any longer, I'm so fucking obsessed with Project Hail Mary it's not even funny. Like, I didn't get the whole "he's literally me" meme until now, and omfg Grace being seen as Aroace by the community has been so fucking validating. I don't think I've been this hyperfixated before.

Who knew a teacher and a rock fishing for bacteria would be so fucking intense. Like I'm not even kidding it's literally peak cinema. Unrelated but go and watch Project Hail Mary. It's awesome, statement.

The species for Ostimeus, known as the Moreta, are based around the Utahraptor as they were among my favourites of the dinosaurs. Of course there are some big differences between Utahraptors and Moretans, but hey that's the perks of being an alien species.

The meme would need some additional categories to get all of my Actevum Earth characters in, but here's some of them. Character art by @tigerarainbowra.bsky.social

That's about everything for now, feel free to let me know if you have any questions, and I'll be sure to answer.

5) And last but not least, The Retrospective of The Good Dinosaur. This one has been on hold for a while, but mainly because I feel the opening part needs reworking. Progress is being made, and I feel like after 10+ years the researching phase is over, unless something new pops up... again.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

4) The Aterompus Series (Actual name TBD), this one is by far the biggest project I'm working on, and right now I'm still fleshing out the worldbuilding behind Aterompus, right now I'm going through the evolution of life from their world. Climate simulations are being done in tandem.

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

3) @aterompus.bsky.social Has been active for a bit. As a reminder, this account represents a semi-canon interpretation of Aterompus, in a scenario where they are given time to answer questions, mostly from the OCQuestions account.

2) Archives of Ostimeus is also on a hold, though this time for less time than AE. Again this needs to wait for other projects to make progress, but fortunately not as much is needed.

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

1) Actevum Earth is cancelled! Just kidding, it's being put on hold indefinitely. I really do want to develop it, however my focus has been entirely on the other projects, and until those are done there's no platform for AE to build from.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

Well, I have a few projects on the go at the moment, though doing them has been slow due to real life activities and ADHD being the bane of my hobby life. That being said, I can give some updates on what's been going on the last month.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 01/04/2026

April fools huh? I would do something witty, however everyone's used to getting bamboozled and so you lot just expect it to happen. Well SURPRISE! The joke is that I'm going to be sincere today! So that begs the question... what now?

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

I was thinking of doing the summary anyways, but to have rhe video in chapters so anyone can just skip the summary segment, but idk.

000

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 04/03/2026

Hmm, this has been something I've been thinking about with my deep dive into The Good Dinosaur, because on one hand virtually no one has seen the film, so a summary is needed to catch people up. On the other hand, exactly as you say a summary is rather boring to slog through and write about.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 20/02/2026

Also since the Mimic can control Big-Top, the question becomes more "who can hack the other", Prototype doesn't appear to be the type to hack, instead manipulating others into its bidding. I'm 90% confident that without any experience, the Mimic could win by taking control of Prototype.

000

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 20/02/2026

While the Prototype is able to mimic voices and produces nightmare gas, it definitely has signs of weakness, as Kissy easily showed. Also the prototype's only form of attack appears to be using it's long claws as a massive dagger, which the Mimic could easily avoid if inside a suit.

Eeeeeeyy the crested spinosaurid has finally come out, seems like it's not as coastal as with other spinosaur species, but fascinating nonetheless

Yeah no. Until now I used my twitter just to view tweets of people who hadn't moved over. Going to private my account, delete all my posts, and not use it anymore. I would delete the account but after 30 days anyone would be able to use the account name, so may as well just starve the site lmfao.

Well well well, if it isn't the 10th anniversary of a Pixar film whose development would send me on a near decade rabbit hole. While I don't have anything to show from that, I've spend the past few hours making one of those old tribute videos haha. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLga...

I'm also not sure how to end this thread haha, I just hope whoever sees this doesn't get the wrong idea. One thing I do know is just how messy/ traumatic, the situation must've been for everyone involved in the short and long term. I think I'm gonna stop talking now this rambling is long enough.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

I wish I could help to make the next steps easier, but again I was on the sidelines of what happened, I wasn't even made aware until a friend had blocked everyone and left after you joined. I don't even know if what I'm doing here is the right thing, but I always want to see the good in others.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

I'm not sure if what I'm saying has actually helped or made things worse for you, but know that I'm at least trying to show things from a different perspective. Maybe not a better one, but one that might in some way be helpful.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

In a world where there are people who can't even fathom the concept of guilt or empathy, to me at least you've proven to be better than those. It's a low bar, granted, but it also means that you're not an unforgivable monster, you're a human who fucked up badly, which can happen to the best of us.

110

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

From what I can though, it seems you've genuinely at the very least attempted through as many means possible to become a better person. Even if those did eventually fail, the fact that you at least tried, and the fact that you do feel guilty for what happened, means that you are a good person.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

I also know that by responding, I am potentially alienating at least some people I know may not have forgiven you yet (though I won't say any names out of respect), because from what I understand at the time, you were in the wrong and that greatly affected at least a few people when it happened.

100

OstimeusAlex @ostimeusalex.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

Hey, I'm not good with words either so I'll try to make this short. I remember when you were on Tigera's server and everything was good. I was on the sidelines when everything went down and as much as I was filled me in, I know I can never truly grasp what you and everyone involved went through.
