Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 9hThanks! Just hope I did your characters justice. Really, really enjoyed the story. Exactly my kind of vibe. 010
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 11hEveryone should read "Little Thief and the Martyr’s Head” by @japrenticewrites.bsky.social. A dark, moody, yet surprisingly sweet story about a wily street urchin and a chatty skull. Available FREE at beneath-ceaseless-skies.com. Inspired to draw the opening scene, in case you still weren't sold: 141
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 17hAnd by "freehand," I mean completely without reference. As a kid, I had tons of spiral-bound notebooks filled with sketches based purely on imagination. But now I like to tinker with perspective too much, which is harder to conceptualize for some reason. Like I said, getting that muscle memory back. 000
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 17hThanks. I definitely use rough models as reference. For now. Back when I was younger I could draw freehand and very quickly, but then I stopped for about a decade, due to circumstances, and I've been working to build the skill and speed back up. Hope to keep improving day after day. 110
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 17hThank YOU! Inspire me every day. Once met you in Athens at Fluke, and you were exceedingly kind. Bought everything on your table. You're an all-timer, man. 010

Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 17hLee Gatlin is one of the best to ever do it. A deceptively simple style that's enragingly difficult -- nay, impossible -- to imitate. Has impeccable taste. Funny as hell. If I could sling a pencil 1/16th as well as him, I'd never put it down. Fingers would be nubs. Open jars left-handed forever. 110
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 17hIt's October. Time to draw some spooky comics. Oh, I do that every month? No wonder I rarely look at the calendar. 000
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 18hThanks to everyone at AEW for stepping up. The wrestlers who selflessly honored their friend. Pouring hearts out. Rushing returns. Putting over the message. The production staff who tied it all together. The commentary. The T-shirts. The video packages. A classy, unforgettable show. #AEW 030
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 18hThe theme of PAC's tribute was abundantly clear: "EVEN NOW HE MAKES US BETTER." Rivals showed respect. Grudges ended. Villains played fair. It was exactly what I hoped for and needed. Kindness conquered death. #AEW 140
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 19hJon Moxley said there are two kinds of eulogies: remembrance of deed and remembrance of character. Last night on AEW Dynamite, PAC received BOTH. He was that damn good. Inside and outside of the ring. Had me in tears the whole time. #AEW www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9xR...youtube.comA look at the life and legacy of Benjamin "PAC" SatterleyYouTube video by All Elite Wrestling 120

Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Nice. I must admit, thought, my magic system is pretty haphazard. Basically, "What do I want to draw? Will it look funny? Can I justify any of this later down the road?" 110
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Yes. Unless his first name is Goody. Then it's cognitive dissonance. 010
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026When I was drawing this portrait the other day, I thought, "What color should the background be?" I had completely blanked on his entrance, due to grief brain, but I landed on red anyway. Deep down I knew the right answer. PAC really left an impression. Tonight is not going to be easy. 030
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Check out O SPIRITS, ARISE! A webcomic updated twice weekly on BlueSky, Instagram, and ospiritsarise.com. Horror so tame you’ll laugh. Humor so nonsensical you’ll scream. Thanks for the chat, everyone! #HorrorWritersChat 033
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Wonder if I could write a good story based on Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights," maybe? Might be something in there. #HorrorWritersChat 052
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Mozart has to listen to AI-generated music for eternity. #HorrorWritersChat 153
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Music plays a small part in my comics. Spells, for instance, tend to be written in verse. (Inventive, I know!) Also, the main demon sort of dresses like Mick Jagger from THE ROLLING STONES ROCK AND ROLL CIRCUS. #HorrorWritersChat 254
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026I'm technically a horror-comedy cartoonist, but writing is writing, yeah? Make silly comics about demons, witches, and haunted roadside inns. Hammer Films meet the Sunday funnies. Listen to a lot of James Bernard soundtracks. Oh, and Annie Lennox, David Bowie, Kate Bush... #HorrorWritersChat 1106
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026I wonder what DOCTOR WHO fandom would look like today if the original series had been a puppet show à la Gerry Anderson's "Supermarionation." Any differences? Better? Worse? Or would people still be harping about continuity issues and rating their Doctors based on snogability? 000
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Good question! I hadn't even noticed before. Probably intentional? Or the costumer just thought, "On this planet bad guys are trash cans and good guys are... pirates who wear vests made out of old comforters." 010
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026The man, the myth, the legend. Thanks for keeping it classy, AEW. 0100
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026Diana Rigg and Peter Cushing in the same frame is TOO MUCH SEX APPEAL for anyone to take. 031
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026AI enthusiasts and toxic fans are basically the same person. To them art is solely a product. Something to be consumed. Owned. Remixed for their own amusement. It has no value beyond what they can personally extract. Their "participation" matters more than anything else. 000
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 30/09/2026If THE MUPPET SHOW needs a new format, might I suggest VERY IMPORTANT PUPPETS* hosted by @vicmmic.bsky.social? *Not to be confused with @veryimportantpeople.dropout.tv, of course. Concept art (by me) to dangle the carrot for Disney: 010
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026It doesn't exactly "hold up," but it's fun. Especially if you shut your brain down beforehand. I have an easy on-off switch. 000
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026I actually love this film. Know it doesn't work on multiple levels, but the things it gets right really resonate with me. One of my favorites growing up. Yeah, I know I'm weird. 110
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026I don't believe in guilty pleasures. I will gladly take the heat for the things I love. 000
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026With the current Director General of the BBC praising AI garbage, it's nice to be reminded of DOCTOR WHO's handcrafted roots. The tactility of everything onscreen. Give me scale models and rubber suits and stage-bound sets any day. Imagination over expediency. "Marinus" has it in spades. 041
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026The Voord are interesting antagonists, at least visually. Tokusatsu frogmen with cool-ass helmets. I shudder to think of the modern "update" they might receive, though, if they ever showed up again. The Marvel treatment, maybe? Armor plating? Panel lines? Piping? Yeesh. 121
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026DOCTOR WHO REWATCH: "The Keys of Marinus." A planet decides to put all of its societal eggs in one artificial intelligence basket, and the only way to amend the system is to... go on a six-episode fetch quest. Another ripped-from-the-headlines plot: "Computers Are Bad Policymakers. Blow Them Up." 131
Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 29/09/2026With that exchange and the "You're a beautiful woman, probably" line... it has to be one of the funniest WHO episodes. 010

Anthony Isaiah @ospiritsarise.com · 28/09/2026Had to draw the magnificent "Bastard," to stave off the sadness. I stopped watching pro wrestling for years, and PAC was one of the reasons I came back.
