When Amazon bought Fabric.com, they pulled down the old shopping portal and used Amazon’s search algorithms to load that catalog of fabrics. They also used very shoddy, poorly lit photos of the fabrics that don’t properly reflect how they look.

This is bad the same way that Jo-Ann Fabrics being bought by a private equity fund was bad. Amazon is slowly destroying crafts and cottage industries. They don’t want you to make beautiful things yourself at home.
