The inconsistent use of technology in the #FIFA world cup is hilarious, e.g., why not use tech to always decide offsides, last touch before out of play, etc? Since technology is dumb and can be unbiased, its consistent use in sports can help with fairness. See cricket.

As Sony is discontinuing physical media for games and Xbox is testing feature to digitize physical game media, I suspect the long term cost of owning games will be higher (pay for storage) and we will face the same problems as owning ebooks on platforms like Amazon's Kindle. #games #ebooks
