Today on the #May12th International Awareness Day for #MECFS & #fibro, we'd like to take a moment to honour those who are no longer with us - but whose advocacy & impact lives on. One of them is Eileen Theresa Stephens, a Vancouver writer, artist, & ME advocate whom our community lost in 2023.
Archival black and white photo of a young Eileen Stephens before she got sick. She has short hair and is wearing a short-sleeved collarless polo shirt and jeans. She is sitting on a bench outdoors, grinning.

Artist spotlight: @berlin-buyers-club.bsky.social is an international art-activist collective founded by a small team of creatives after COVID made them chronically ill. They spend their limited energy seeking awareness, treatments & justice for #LongCovid, #MECFS & other neuro-immune diseases.

Some of the slogans include, "Cure ME/CFS: I miss my sparkle", "Sometimes Long Covid is Forever Covid", "Cure Long Covid: please don't leave us behind", "Every day I watch as life goes on without me: I have ME/CFS", "I miss listening, I miss seeing, I miss working, I miss dancing, I miss thinking, I miss feeling, I miss myself. I have ME/CFS"
