A thread for Marko's body mods, since I made a reference sheet and thought it would be fun. Full body front and back in the comments! The tattoos are mostly photobashed from stock art, but the majority are original concepts so I wanna show them off. #OC #OCSky #Art

My OC, Marko, an athletically fit white skinned blue eyed man with pale blonde hair cut into an undershave and mostly slicked back. His right arm is a cybernetic prosthetic or a dark gray material offset by bright red lining. His right side is covered in scar tissue. The rest of his body is decorated with piercings and tattoos.

Writing down OCD thoughts + what triggered them and then reading them back when not in that headspace? Brother... embarrassing. Calm down, it was never that serious @ me 😭👍

the targeting of any art that is "obscene" (terms of obscenity always to be decided at a whim) is fascistic yes but also how the only kinds of art that tends to be penalized is the individual/independent creators isn't lost on me. a patreon TOS would reject anything that can be streamed on netflix.

If I wanna make myself a pair (which I absolutely do, fucking look AT them), I'll have to go back to the store and buy another little 2.5g baggie of them and PRAY that they have the colour I want. Supply chain issues from the US tariffs on my lil beads is killing my lil heart sneef

110

Opal 🍓 @opaloracle.bsky.social · 11/03/2026

BTW I know that no one follows me for beading content but can someone explain to my tiny brain ass why the beading store sells regular miyuki beads at 22g and delicas at 2.5g????? I almost ran out of the pink delicas on the strawberry ones 😭

Upon asking me about my OC, several cutscenes will play in sequence. It is recommended that you set aside sufficient time to view these scenes in their entirety.

For ppl who aren't aware: Old temperate forests are insanely rare nowadays and extremely important ecosystems lost forever once cut. They're not just "old trees" but intricate networks of trees, fungi and all kinds of living creatures. You CANNOT replant this!! Once it's gone it's lost FOREVER!!!

🌼Remember the powers that be rely on your despair. That's why they bombard people from every angle; they know we're too powerful when we're organized, joyful, & loving each other. If all you can do is survive that's still an act of resistance. It takes millions of small actions to move mountains 🌄💝

Also seen others say that getting a new sketchbook from a cheapo brand and making the promise to themselves to draw one thing a day helped with no sort of like... expectations while experimenting. What's your relationship with it like now? What do you want it to be? Etc.

020

Opal 🍓 @opaloracle.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

I just DON'T have the time lately but I've started to like drawing more when I don't have such a pressure on myself to make something great every time and just doodling for fun. I've seen some artists talk about trying out new mediums and techniques helping.

120

Opal 🍓 @opaloracle.bsky.social · 03/03/2026

I think it kind of depends on what you loved about art in the first place and how your relationship with it has evolved over time. Like... for me, art used to be an escape from bad shit happening all the time as a kid and now that I'm not in that situation, I don't create it as much all the time.
