Old art (ranging 2019-2024) of bigouge. This is one of those ships that boils down to “these two characters are hot to me and their dynamic is interesting to imagine” with nothing much else. Thinking abt them and these are fun

Someone just reblogged this on tumblr with this tag and I just fucking died I've been on this shit for over a decade and it's only getting worse

kayinnasaki

written about this before but whatever.

Videogames as an artform have a problem with nostalgia. Not that people shouldn’t have nostalgia. Or that games shouldn’t draw from the past. But instead the weight we give to nostalgia.

When people go back to enjoy old games, we assume it’s a nostalgia thing. Do people assume that with books? Or movies? Or music? People certainly do go back in time with those mediums for nostalgia! It happens! I know when my sister is listening to certain cheesy old boyband pop or punk she’s often having a musical nostalgia trip! That’s cool! But we still don’t ASSUME, CONSTANTLY thats why people go back to stuff.

People like old stuff because it’s cool and interesting. It’s historic. People go watch Metropolis still, but how many people alive could even be nostalgic for a movie like that?

I almost want to see the word Nostalgia excised from discussions about video games – not because nostalgia is bad but because we over use it to the point where it’s actually harmful I think.

I mean I made IWBTG and am making an NES style game right now and even for me, the obsession with ‘nostalgia’ seems crazy.

Old stuff is cool. I know this because I see a lot of you kids on my tumblr feed talking about games I know you didn’t grow up with. It’s like finding your parents record or CD collection. Thinking the primary greatness of old games is bringing back memories of eating cereal and playing games on a saturday morning is a great injustice, even if those memories for some are perfectly worthwhile things.

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

i'll also post my fantastic comic about what happens when girl best friendship endures into your 30s

uncoloured, rough 4 panel comic about nagisa and honoka pretty cure. panel 1 shows nagisa, in immense distress, breaking down the door while honoka reads a book in the foreground. nagisa says 'honoka is lesbian sex real!?' and honoka replies 'yes nagisa'. the following two panels show nagisa collapsing to the floor in agony. the final panel shows nagisa tearfully asking 'can we try it', and honoka responds 'yes nagisa'

Can't get enough of this anime. #art #fireemblem #fefw

A screenshot redraw of the classic anime Yatterman, instead of the Doronbo Gang, we have Tobias, Theodora & Bonaventure from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.

(Tobias as Tonzura, Theodora being Doronjo, Bonaventure as Boyacky)

Tobias, Thoedora, and Bonaventure are excitedly standing in an arena celebrating victory. They look a little rough from battle.

A screenshot redraw of A screenshot redraw of the classic anime Yatterman, instead of the Doronjo we have Theodora from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.

It is the famous screenshot of Doronjo eating fries.
