Ask me tomorrow and you'll probably get a different answer but if we're talking albums from my youth that I always go back to then it's probably this lot at the top of the list currently, but I could easily add dozens more... #My9Albums
Massive Attack - Blue Lines
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Portishead - Dummy
Stone roses - Stone Roses
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
PJ Harvey - Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On?

Big loop over some tussocky bits of the North Moor with these two. Knee held up, heard a curlew, ate cake, took some photos (some of which weren't shit), and finished up with chips and beer. Didn't get murdered by cows. I'm counting that as a win.

I have the MiniLab 3 and really like it - was torn between that and the Akai, but the MiniLab was actually cheaper at the time - I paid £68 for it from Bax. The "champagne" ones seem to be cheaper for some reason...

Never Knowingly Over-Biked... Taking advantage of the still dry conditions to give the skinny bike a spin on trails that are usually out of bounds for most of the year due to their sogginess. The moor is still as dry as a bone.

Noticed that there's been no flowers on Jay's Grave for an unusually long time. Has the tradition died out somehow, or perhaps whoever was tending it in recent years has moved / passed away? #Dartmoor

Morning head-straightening ride much appreciated today. After weeks of sun-bleached whiteness, it's been almost comforting to see the moor revert to its more traditional Autumn drab over the last few days.

IIRC the bridleway down to the first set of stepping stones goes down a steepish bank from the lane just after the bridge at Sherberton. The "main" stepping stones as pictured here are further north along the river but that's the bit which is quite boggy.

Post a picture that should be an album cover.
An old man in a fishing hat, back to camera, plays a beaten up old piano, partly covered by a tarpaulin, outside an empty but freshly painted shop. The current spate of wildfires across the country and the tinder-dry state of Dartmoor has made me reflect on some of the incidents I attended. No exaggeration to say that some wildfires were amongst the most physically draining and dangerous jobs I turned out to in the 7 years I was on the run...

Ben Howard at Eden Sessions last night was pretty special. New songs sounding great but also playing stuff from Every Kingdom which I don't think he's played live for years. Magical. Bonus of gigs at Eden is that at night you feel like you're visiting some strange and remote off world colony...

Back on Dartmoor feeling discombobulated after brief work trip to London yesterday. I remember @notquitelight.bsky.social talking about high-rise developments "stealing the sky" in Manchester. I think there's a very strong sense of that in London at the moment too, particularly around Broadgate.
Looking up to a blue sky with wispy clouds from a heavily shaded street in The City - classical stone frontage of the building on the right contrasting with glass skyscrapers on the left.Another view looking upwards from a shaded sheet to a massively tall glass building. Elegant curve of a regency period building visible in the shadows to the right.Tower cranes working on yet another new high rise development against a blue summer sky. Sentinels - looking down a narrow City of London street - workers in orange high viz guarding the ground floor entrances to a construction site. Overhanging scaffolding, safety barriers and the glimpse of a grand classically styled stone building at the end of the street with a glass skyscraper looming above it.
