Welcome to the ParmaJohns family, where we sell more than decorative cheese graters, we sell... an idea. Audio from "D&D Court: Stolen Spells, Petulant Paladins, and Whacked Werehippos!" To hear the full tangent that inspired this short, listen to the D&D Court Collection at Patreon.com/Naddpod!

Also reading to your kid is quality time while creating a positive relationship with books. The intent is to interact with them, with books, with reading Using an AI reader is soulless and misses the point entirely

I dont have proof but i feel like the online research has gotten harder as sites counter data-scraping I cant access chemical safety info without an approved account for a lot of suppliers 20+ year old papers are now paywalled. Outside of modern open access journals I cant find, like, any freebies

Lichtenstein’s entire oeuvre was offensively shallow and profit-motivated from the jump. His original premise of recontextualizing “low art” was done better, earlier, and with way more joyful subversiveness by Marcel Duchamp, AND he lacked the skill to even render the work he supposedly “elevated.”

2020 is the largest negative drop. Its what brings them below zero They are older, but there was also a weird patriot moment where MAGA counties were refusing the vax, calling COVID a hoax, and dying. That was a direct result of MAGA messaging/politics, not just age

I know its his job to hype the product far beyond its practical use But i love the idea of tech giants hiring math illiterate engineers. A lot of software is held together on a house of cards, and they want an even shakier foundation

the hardest thing for the politician-bureaucrats to understand -- but which NSF staff *absolutely do* understand and always have -- is that you actually make scientific progress by giving young people money and promising not to bother them

I drew a comic strip.
a comic strip. The first panel shows a goblin in a long coat approaching a guard. The second panel has the goblin saying "we're just normal men!". The third panel has the guard replying "what do you mean normal men?". The fourth panel shows both the goblin in the coat and the guard. The coat is beginning to open to show many goblins within. The guard looks suspicious and a goblin emerging from the coat is saying "We're just innocent men!"

We started a trade war with these people because the president, who has some sort of degenerative brain disease with visible bruises on his hand's injection site that the press doesn't talk about, was bored.

I had this idea from reading the elizabeth holmes mouse post and then I couldn't do anything else until i painted the idea to completion
It is a cartoon mouse, like Jerry from Tom and Jerry, shaped like a wedge of cheese presumably because it has eaten a wedge of cheese. The mouse has Elizabeth Holmes' face. The mouse is saying "Why would I deceive you? There's no reason for me to do that."Nathan Fielder, looking into a fridge where the mouse has eaten a cheese, says skeptically "Okay. Alright."

“manageable crisis” A childhood friend of mine is an ICU nurse in Detroit They kept running out of bodybags Its disappointing but not surprising how many people spent the pandemic just posting and complaining about not going out to restaurants. They assume it was uneventful for everyone

Maybe the difference comes from whats best at a population level vs whats clinically true? Patients usually dont know when they’ve been bitten so it makes sense to recommend within 24hrs. Either way im sure theres a reason
000
Dylan @onemetricdylan.bsky.social · 11/07/2026
the 24 hrs is new to me. Who recommends that? I got the 3-day from my husband who’s a family practice MD but there could be an information lag

I used to be paranoid about getting bit at all, but apparently it takes 3 days of tick attachment for Lyme disease to take hold Also theres a vaccine in development!

My husband and i will read out loud on road trips. This also reminded me of another activity My book club has a secret librarian gift-exchange in Dec. In January everyone gives a review. Its like a reverse book club where everyone reads a different book and always a good time

Yup. A graphic (scientific, advertising, etc.) is an argument for attention. Information should also be part of that argument I hate genAI for plagiarism, but on a personal level its insulting. The author is trying to get your attention while signaling that said attention is not worth any effort

dreamed I’d made a T-shirt which was getting great reviews from T-shirt critics and really ‘doing numbers’. People were saying it was a cultural touchstone, a commentary on the time we live in but I hadn’t actually seen it. The dream ended when I finally saw it and woke myself up laughing.
A man is pinned to the ground under the wheel of a big car. He is smiling and giving a small thumbs up. The caption reads “I prefer it this way”.
