I hate that when the house is a mess, I spend 2 hours cleaning up the big things and then 8 hours cleaning up the “oh there’s too much paper towel hanging out. Roll that back up” type of stuff.

I feel you. Community organization feels meaningless in a place where we have evidence that that’s futile. What keeps me going is that they want us to give up and move on. By not doing so and spreading awareness and helping our fellow man instead, we’re winning in small ways. Those lead to big wins.

“It was the __! It was a different time!” Cliffjumper and Bluestreak’s original actor (Casey Kasem) left the show in 1986 after an episode’s main antagonist was a vaguely-Arabic organization in a fictional city called “Carbombya” They’re not a “product of their time” they’re bigots

He did a rally today and said that he advocated for TikTok because —during his recent campaign— he hired a TikTok social media person, and apparently won the youth vote by a landslide this time around. He was against the politics of the app, but then it made him money, so now he doesn’t care

If the TikTok ban in America didn’t radicalize you, you’re willfully ignorant. They can help each and every one of us. They just won’t.

My text to one of my friends and what it said. On the second text, I deleted every swear word and replaced “pissed” with “mad.” Still censored it. Hid it, then prompted them to block or report me with just one click of a button

I'm still surprised Starfire being bi or pansexual isn't technically canon. Ok, she's only been with guys in the comics, but she's never denied interest in girls and was even open to being in a poly relationship with Dick and Raven at one point.

Guys, don’t fall for these theatrics. Trump was the one who rallied against Trump initially in 2020 due to its free speech. This seems all planned for a US billionaire to swipe in and—with the TikTok CEO already currently in Trumps back pocket—control the apps algorithm and censorship

Like congrats on honing on Raven’s origin so well, but now the mainstream never talks about the other guys’ prior intrinsic issues except for what that show showed. We’ll always hear all about Raven, but then JUST Blackfire, and JUST Silas, and JUST the Flying Graysons. They’ve all been tropes since

It also doesn’t help that 2003 Teen Titans is basically not only not adapting really anything, but actually kinda ruining those characters?? It de-aged then, race-swapped, replaced campiness with dumb angsty kid drama, and now entire generations are put off by the source material due to differences.

@jamesgunn.bsky.social what was your inspiration for making Clark’s hair so much curlier in this than previous incarnations? I know Joe Siegel has said that he based the Clark Kent persona a lot on his own desire to be a reporter and he had some pretty naturally curly hair. Is that a part of it??
