I find online pre-recorded lectures to be incredibly helpful with students, especially as their average attention span has been diminishing one year after the other. A 30-45 min lecture recorded and edited with other material, including videos, documents, sound clips, etc... keeps the stimulation.

Well, I think it’s very useful especially when you put videos, films, podcasts and materials for students to listen to. In one module, we gave the pre-recorded lectures on moodle and used the class time for seminars instead.

The official excuses will likely be the usual: 'unintentional', 'necessary for pacing', and so on. It happened before with Bassem Youssef, a pattern that speaks louder than the blah blah excuses.

It is very helpful when colleagues share these experiences, letting other academics know that encountering a reviewer with a condescending tone happens and that the problem can sometimes be in the reviewer and not the author.
