Annoys the hell out of me. There's a person churning out vibe-coded dual-screen versions of games on the r/Thor sub, locked behind a paywall "because of abuse" (people calling out AI use), and still other people are lapping them up.

No Man's Sky, turning off all combat in the menu. Offers so many options you can make it a hardcore survival game with permadeath, or a completely chill, no-stress exploration and farming sim where you build cool ships and bases.

Seaton Carew is such a weird place. One bus in/out, one train in/out. If I wanted to go to Durham for the day, it's either three trains, or two buses, or a combination - all over two hours total. It's 17 miles as the crow flies...

I found out that it's more expensive for me to get the bus from Seaton to Boro, a trip of about 25 mins, than it is for me to get the bus from Boro to either Newcastle or Whitby.

Sapkowski is a great character. I bumped into him randomly in an Empik when I was living in Poland, back in my teaching days before the games were even a thing. Think he was there to give a talk. He seemed amused when I told him I used Ostatnie Życzenie to help with Polish reading comprehension. 😅
