The public harassment of a barrister for using the women's toilet she was directed to on the Parliamentary estate — which has *not* changed its policies post-FWS — and the subsequent apology from Parliamentary staff to her harassers, is despicable.

We mourn the loss of Glen Loutzenhiser, a wonderful colleague, popular teacher, author of Tiley's Revenue Law and assistant editor of British Tax Review, Glen's death, much too young, leaves a large gap in the Oxford tax community and more widely. A link for condolences is here lnkd.in/esyiwFBP

‘Statements’ of special educational need were phased out of the English SEND system from 2014 onwards. No child has had one since 2018 So the quote is presumably from someone both influential and clueless, always a great combination

The proposals under consideration involve changes to the system that underpins the provision of support, which would be likely to affect children on the “lighter” end of the range of conditions such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, according to a senior official.

“It would mean thousands fewer pupils getting statements,” one official said.
