How do you access the garden t the center of this « roundabout »? You cross 10 meters of asphalt, including a parking lane (inside a roundabout). That’s if you find one of the TWO pedestrian crossings that lead to it. Once there, you follow a path to the absence of pedestrian crossing 🙃 UCCLE.

Second phase is removing the parking lane. Third phase is removing the car lane. 😉 Current situation is a big ugly stain on the city’s pedestrian accessibility, with a sidewalk that’s too narrow to navigate comfortably with a pram or wheelchair. Any idea to get it widened is welcome !

That’s the thing. You’d then, unknowingly, prioritize a measure that’s less effective in terms of safety, only to avoid wear and tear on your vehicle. If safety is the priority, infrastructure will always be better than enforcement of rules on individual behavior.
