I've been in touch with officials about footpath repairs at Madden's Buildings, and especially the limestone kerbs. I've been told all salvageable kerbs will now be reinstalled. Unfortunately, some broke apart during excavation. The remainder will be reinstated part of the works, which are ongoing.

Very worthwhile afternoon with Green Party colleagues on Friday. The rollbacks of this government — - on transport fares - protections for tenants-in-situ - undoing climate law — and more, shows how hard we still have to work for people and planet.

A resident at St Luke's Cross pointed this one out to me in Henchy's 🍻 — I'd asked officials to widen this turning radius after the slip road was retired, but motorists are (understandably) still following the old road linings. Confirmed with officials today these will be updated this week.

Definitely not a last-minute thing. Here's even me holding a sign in 2024 (strangely misspelled) and CMATS in 2020. Kilbarry is the name of "strategic lands" to the north, which might be another reason (North Blackpool/Kilbarry framework plan). Anyway, yes, I'll ask that its just called Blackpool.

It has a history to it. You can just about make it out in this photograph. The Kilbarry moniker just about kept it alive as a depot and railway yard, so it might have a place in the hearts of Irish Rail (who are nostalgic people). But, I agree, let's re-bless it now as Blackpool again.

A very positive rally in Farranree this morning, now focused on one message. This part of the city has both the fewest trees and lowest investment in active travel. The solution needs to come locally, but the difference between difficult and impossible is only the impossible takes a little longer.
