A qr code on the bonnet? It doesn't feel like an unsolvable problem

It's the company that operates the cab, surely?

Hi - would like to attend if I can but not sure how to DM you?

That's not true. Higher income correlates to being more likely to vote Labour (certainly up to that level) the 35k pensioner is more likely to vote tory!

It was a great piece. Best analysis I've read on it.

A toxic debate over anti-Zionism leaves the Green leader looking like a passenger in the movement that carried him to the top, says Guardian columnist Rafael Behr

The green party definition. The one we were talking about when you butted in to make your valuable contribution. I had assumed you'd read the thread you were commenting on but maybe I gave you too much credit.

Under your definition the vast majority are. But that was rather the point I guess.

Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Which the green party was already clearly against withojt this dreadful motion. But now the story is how the green party is racist, how the european greens want to dissociate from them, all the green MPs have come out against it and will campagne to change it. Andy Burnham is a lucky man!

Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
I suggest you read the motion in full. It is appalling. Which is why the european greens, all green MPs, George monbiot, and indeed all the reasonable pro palestian anti genocide people are all against it.

Not all jews. You'll always find some. But the vast majority. And If you are practicing jew wanting to attend a service at a progressive synogugue that supports Palestinian rights but also the right of Israel to exist, you are no longer welcome in the green party. So any practicing jew basically.
110
Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Sorry, I mean that's what the motion you are defending literally says.
000
Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Also you say that the Palestinian people have a right to self determination but Jewish people do not despite it being the ancestral home of the Jewish people. Failure to understand that Jews are a people, not just a religion, is part of the problem and is racist. It needs to be peacefully shared
100
Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Sure. Lot of room to be critical of the government, who are wanted for war crimes. But what you've done instead is go further than the Palastinaian Authority and basicly banned any practicing Jew from being a member of the green party. So now focus is on how greens are a racist party. Well done.

Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
I cld be very careful to point out when I steal your money at gun point that I am not mugging you. Doesn't make it true. If you say that you cannot belong to a synogue or belive that Jews have a right to peaceful self determination alongside Palestinians you are anti semetic despite what you claim.

Although you are just describing things we can do if we have growth (particularly given things like health, social care, pensions etc will keep costing more and more), so the vision bit shouldn't be so hard to articulate. Although agree on the dig views re community etc

No. Obviously not. But I do believe that this motion both defines Zionism as racist and then goes on to allow virtually every practicing Jew to be defined as such, too. And deliberately, as well.

Oliver Bradley @olibradley.bsky.social · 04/10/2026
Yes but when you define zionism to basically include all jews, I think that bit becomes a tad irrelevant!

The difference being of course that no group in eastern Ukraine wanted (or attempted) to destroy Russia. But nothing can justify destruction like this for sure.

I am a barrister who once spent time seconded to the CPS serious crimes unit making charging decisions. Today, you can pretend to be one too and work through the decision-making framework in a very serious case. The police have multiple suspects in custody and the phone just rang. 👨 👨 👨 👨 👨 📱 👮‍♀️ 🚨

Except what is interesting is they are not taking other people's satellites up there any more, possibly as not enough demand? We haven't seen a spike in (non starlink) satelites as launch prices have come down. Although maybe it'll take more time

These stories are a nonsense. It won't be nationalised. It will go into administration and someone will buy it without the debt. The only people who will lose are the PE and the lenders. Customers won't notice.

One popular theory is that it is a (legal) way for competitors to coordinate to not keep expanding models at great expense in what is essentially an arms race between them, so can charge more for existing models and not spend so much so quick. As well as prob believing it.

Come on. It's not a crime to promise a payment to all adults if you win an election. If it were only to people who vote Republican or Republican states that would be different. But this is no different to offering to cut taxes or whatever

The connections thing is bullshit (although people may think it)! It's for the nicer facilities and smaller classes. It's like flying business class. You still get there safely in economy. It's just the seat is smaller and the food is worse. So nice if you can afford it!

It's clumsy. But what I think he's suggesting is that if you don't go to shul and take part on the (compulsory) security rota, you may have a different perspective to someone who does (as someone who does, I don't agree, but don't think it's a questioning his faith point)

He was wrong to make it personal like that, and this isn't a comment on the sanctions, which I agree with, but I do think most people who don't go to synogugue don't realise how bad it is. How literally all of us have to put on stab vests and take it in turns to patrol so we can be safe.
