It may have seemed quiet due to Western media focusing on other areas, but the Houthi / Saudi war in Yemen is still raging. This was in the last hour. Missiles headed for Saudi Arabia intercepted. The Bab al'Mandeb Strait is still closed to Saudi-aligned traffic and controlled by the Houthis.

Nice gilet! Burnham should definitely not go to the polls! He'd lose seats. Now he's got years to make things better for all of us. I'd like to see proportional representation. Next election will be my first one, as I only applied for citizenship last year. I can't vote Labour in my area.

I'd like to ask the MP:s, who voted against assisted dying, how many of them have taken their pet to the vets to "end its suffering". As it seems they treat their pets with more compassion than their nearest and dearest. And the pet never has any say in this. Humans do.

Listening to @mrjamesob.bsky.social and remember 11th Sept 2001. Was working in a factory shop in Scotland. My husband was in RAF air traffic control. He called me, as they'd seen it on Sky News at work. I was later telling American customers how sorry I was, and they seemed totally undisturbed.
