Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 13/10/2026Heading home from the Cold City/Hot War launch at LJMU with @malcolmcraig.bsky.social. Entertaining, educational and interactive. It's not my usual style of game but I'm intrigued and can see myself running it. Also great to have a local RPG launch in Liverpool! 3333 33
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 12/10/2026The joy of rediscovering hidden gems in my vinyl collection. I wasn't big on compilation albums but this one has some great tunes. 090 9
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 21/09/2026How many copies of The Hobbit does one person need? I think this is perhaps the nicest of them 13612 61
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 14/09/2026Yeah, I was minus 3 years old, I'm sure it had sold out before I was born. I did have one of these mechanical pocket calculators, I thought it was amazing, probably late 70s. 010 1
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 06/09/2026And for my last #OBaWS2026 game I am playing Arla Drax. It has been an amazing weekend, already looking forward to #OBaWS2027! 080 8

Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 22/07/2026I was enjoying this book until I noticed 160 pages missing. I purchased it from Wordery back in 2018 and it's been on my pile to read since then. Their policy is for issues identified within 3 months, so if you buy a book from them make sure you check every page is perfect within that time... 151 5

Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 17/05/2026Really enjoyed that John, had proper old school vibes and even with experienced characters showed how exciting and dangerous combat can be with Dragonbane. Your take on the classic adventure hit the spot. 170 7
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 14/05/2026Putting aside AI bollox, had a nice delivery from DTRPG just now. This stuff makes me happy 😁 3270 27
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 07/05/2026Tonight the Forbidden Lands character that I've been playing since October 2020 on and off met an unpleasant end, having their head bitten off by a giant bug. Farewall Tarua, you disgusting mud loving wolfkin, you'll be missed 2300 30
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 23/04/2026Google Photos reminding me that 8 years ago in my "buy anything and everything" phase I grabbed these. Hubris was sold on and I've never used the Dungeon Dozen. Got some nice play out of Yoon-Suin, but not exactly money well spent. I look at some of the stuff I bought back then (shakes head)... 3271 27
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 22/03/2026Just grabbed Total War: Warhammer 2 for £9.99 on sale on Steam. Looks good and it works on Mac and I really like the Warhammer setting. When I looked in my library I saw Total War: Warhammer 3 there as well which is for sale for £12.49. Defo a mistake by Steam, but I'm not complaining... 5191 19

Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 13/12/2025Turns out it's still produced, currently £15 from Argos. Not keen on the new design though 030 3
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 06/12/2025This was a thing this week. More pressure on the NHS, no doubt dodgy back room deals. 061 6
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 24/11/2025I usually buy online from www.dungeonland.co.uk, but today I visited their store in Blackpool and bought these lovely items. It was an Aladdin's cave of RPG goodies, I could have spent a fortune in there. Well worth a visit if you can. IMHO the best place in the UK to buy your RPGs. 3201 20
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 27/10/2025Vast in the Dark could be a good option - although I've only skimmed it, but it's by Charles Ferguson-Avery so it's bound to be good . This looks like a decent collection as well itch.io/c/5713799/de... 020 2
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 19/10/2025The Trudvang setting is great and Paul Bonner's art really brings it to life. I'd say it's Norse setting with a bit of Celtic influence, feels very mythic. This is from the original GM book . IMHO it's fantastic setting looking for the right system. 080 8
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 25/09/2025It's been a great week for RPG deliveries. First Tales of Argosa, then Dolmenwood and now this Yoon-Suin. The first edition was great, and from what I can tell this is mostly the same but in a badass hardback book. I loved running Yoon-Suin and will revisit it at some point 0180 18

Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 20/09/2025You wait years for a Kickstarter to be delivered, it's scheduled today when I expect to be out... On the plus side this arrived yesterday. I've resisted Tales of Argosa for a while and reading it now, I'm glad I've taken the plunge. Could this be my OSR go to? Planning to run Ave Nox with it. 3242 24
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 14/09/2025That was a great game Paul, rich in Lone Wolfish atmosphere. The character sheets in particular were a work of layout brilliance! I love a good urban investigation and his one delivered. Also great to play Sanction, I must give it another read! 6283 28
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 11/09/2025Returned from a few days in the Lake District yesterday. Such a beautiful part of the country and relaxing for a few days. But... everything is so expensive and little is free. Parking is costly, 60p to use the toilets! It's ok for dogs to pee on trees, but not humans, go figure... 4270 27
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 25/08/2025I've been enjoying some Savage Worlds with @orlanth.bsky.social, a bit of Rifts and Dark Future. Never ran it though, never thought of it as my kind of game. But the Fantasy Companion looks really good. I'd like to hear of experiences with it, is it good for the grim and dangerous fantasy I enjoy. 081 8
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 22/08/2025I reckon the area available to customers was about this much, it was boardgames and family games upstairs, so you had to go down into the basement for RPGs, miniatures and some wargames. The basement had a rather distinct odour, but that was part of its charm. I later learned there was more to it... 110 1
Old Scouse Roleplayer @oldscouserp.eurosky.social · 20/08/2025@potatocubed.bsky.social is a demon at turning around a kickstarter.
