It'd be my pleasure. While I usually run two trains that match their respective eras, sometimes I do run what I want regardless of era or livery. Especially if it's a somewhat fitting pairing, such as two eerily similarly coloured locos from two completely different periods of history.

A custom-made GER C72 (3D-printed body by CDC Designs on an older Hornby Terrier chassis) passes a Hornby GNER Class 91 - both in nonidentical, but rather similar shades of dark blue

Romsey & Halterworth in the mid-70s to mid-80s. Worked Absolute Block, 100% Lego. The layout will be at Southampton and Portsmouth shows in Jan, Feb 2027 and the Bluebell in June

Fuck it, send me your model railway pics.

A black and white night-time photo of a modified Hornby J36 - specifically 65243 'Maude' in early BR black livery - and ex-LNER brake van in BR grey in tow. A somewhat incongruous, but nonetheless lovely, Rapido model of a double decker Guy Arab in Birmingham colours meanders along the road bridge in the background, it's lit interior showing that there aren't many people taking the bus at this hour.

bluesky is like the early days of the internet for me in that occasionally i'll actually see some cool model trains but, for the most part, i have to settle for funny cats. i want more model trains and i don't know how to find them :( i will also take more funny cats too

Finally completed, MTK white metal kit of a Class 40 diesel locomotive. So many side projects over the course of this build. It's taken two years up to now. The final tedious hurdle was cutting and placing 20 clear plastic windows. Here are pics of where it started, up to today. #modeltrains

i'll tell you what is simultaneously satisfying and grim: listening to an album while filming at the same time and the album finishes when the filming does. the grim part is that it was a 20 second scene and the album was 40 minutes.
