Yes & the attack on Black studies has been going on for a long time & has had articles published on it in many publications, they do not want people learning African American history or thought. This is not new at all & you need to be tapped in with Black community if it is to you.

A nurse at my cancer center who has known me for over 15 years just asked my mother and me if I have a father! Mind you, my father has taken me to treatment and visited me in the hospital here several times. Racism in healthcare remains undefeated!

Dr. Oz and Trump are nothing short of evil and is ruining lives. I was in chemo and overheard a patient talking about how she couldn't afford to come in for treatment. It's because Medicare cut the mileage from 75 to a 25 miles radius for rides to medical facilities. This will kill ppl!

We're not cooked. Black folks aren't cooked. We don't move with that mentality. That's privileged white folks whose privilege is coming crashing down on them. We weren't cooked as slaves or in Jim Crow. We insisted on our humanity at every step, meaning we live in the fullness of it, not under fear.

FYI—Many cancer patients have more than one chronic illness and require post-cancer care. Hence, the need for a new hospital. I have a heart and kidney transplant. Leaving my current hospital in the middle of cancer treatment is unwise, and it’s a top hospital.

I’ve been in the hospital since Monday. They’re releasing me today even though I have chemotherapy scheduled here for tomorrow. I live 40 minutes away from the hospital. They won’t let me stay an additional night or move chemo a day ahead of schedule.
